My daughter wanted a treat after I had been to Alfredo’s barbers above this florist, so I let her choose a rose, exemplary service from the florist here and the rose, 2 weeks on is still looking perfect 👌🏻

Beautiful flowers as usual, shame no details on them – mum didn’t know where they had come from. She loved the butterfly and the ladybird that came with them. Flowers delivered when I asked and it’s great to use a local company. Will use again.

the comments and my follow up phone call was answered promptly. The delivery was not left in the porch as instructed, but this is not enough to knock a star off. The roses are stunning and are arranged with the carnations so nicely they are being left as they are to be admired for the moment. Will remember this shop for next time – Mother’s Day I believe 😀

A Little History of Bromsgrove
Bromsgrove is a small, leafy market town with a lot of character and surrounded by a beautiful countryside. This traditional market town is located in Worcestershire which is surrounded by green belt land. It is situated just 16 miles south-west of Birmingham and 14 miles north-east of Worcester, making it a perfect shuttle home. There is however a price to pay in Bromsgrove for getting the best of both city and rural life.
Bromsgrove applies to both the market town and the larger Bromsgrove area, which includes the countryside and villages in neighbouring Worcestershire. Bromsgrove, originally documented as ‘Bremesgraf’ in the 9th century, later became world-famous for making nails. Bromsgrove was indeed home to the Bromsgrove Guild’s skilled artisans and sculptors who made the beautiful Buckingham Palace gates and the Fortune Theatre statue in Drury Lane famous. Today it is home to the Birmingham Canal route to the Avoncroft Open Air Museum, Sanders Park, the Jinney Ring Craft Centre, and the Worcester. Bromsgrove is also near the popular Lickey Hills, Clent, and Waseley.
Bromsgrove was first documented as a Bremesgraf in the early 9th century. An Anglo-Saxon Chronicle entry for 909 AD describes a Bremesburh; referring probably even to Bromsgrove. The Bremesgrave cites The Domesday Book. The name means ‘a grove for Bremi’. In 2001 it had a population of 29,237 (39,644 in the wider urban area Bromsgrove / Catshill). Bromsgrove is the principal town in the bigger district of Bromsgrove. Bromsgrove was a centre for wool trade by the end of the middle ages. First recorded in 1533 is the fabrication of cloth, especially narrow cloth and friezes. Nail making was probably introduced in the early 16th century in the region and took place in the seventeenth century at Bromsgrove.
The expansion of the population of Bromsgrove contributed to the building of churches and renovation projects. In 2004, 33,175 people were in jobs in the Bromsgrove District. The largest employment industries in 2001 were manufacturing, retail, and utilities. The High Street, which stretches to the centre of Bromsgrove, has maintained its traditional character and is filled with high street favourites as well as independent shops. It hosts a market with amazing finds three times a week.
Bromsgrove is also a centre for the arts. The town centre, on the other hand hosts many events throughout the year including the annual Bromsgrove Festival. This festival of classical music was started in 1960 by Joe Stones, the founder of the Bromsgrove String Orchestra and a violinist himself. Artrix, on Slideshow Drive, provides cinema and theatre screenings, rock concerts, folk music, and classical music concerts. There is a good deal of development going on in Bromsgrove including the £24m railway station and a multi-million pound leisure centre.
Bromsgrove has a vast green space too such as the Sanders Park which connects the town to the countryside. The National Trust’s Clent Hills is also a short drive from the town and offers magnificent views of the Shropshire Hills, the Cotswolds, and the Welsh borders. Bromsgrove is proud of the fact that it is one of the cleanest places to reside in the Midlands. It is said that there no place in Bromsgrove that is over the nitrogen dioxide (NO2) air pollution levels. This makes the residents of the town of Bromsgrove affluent and healthy based on health and wellbeing factors.
